What makes a meal-management bag
Three things a lunch bag doesn't have. Shelving or a divider, so four containers sit level instead of stacked with the bottom one bearing the weight and the top one tilting. Dedicated ice-pack slots — a sleeve against each wall — so the cold sources sit above and below the food the way the USDA's bag-lunch guidance asks, without stealing container space. And a stated container count instead of a can count. 6 Pack Fitness prints "four meals" and ships the four containers; Bentgo prints "up to 3 prep containers, 1 prep bowl, 2 ice packs, 2 bottles". That is why those two lead.

Container fit, as published
Bentgo prints the large compartment at 10.5 × 7 × 8.9 inches: its own 9.5 × 6.6 × 2 in trays stack three deep with room for a bowl beside. Arctic Zone prints 9.8 × 4.95 × 10.25 inches inside: a standard 3-cup rectangle (Pyrex's is 7.5 × 5.5 × 1.75 in) lies flat two deep under the shelf; a 3.8-inch-tall Bentgo bowl does not. 6 Pack Fitness prints the container count and not the interior. Lifewit prints exterior dimensions and can counts. Measure the containers first — the sizes are on what size containers do I need — and buy the bag whose interior you can check them against.

Tote (6 Pack, Bentgo, Lifewit 15 L): carried by the handle or strap, contents flat, any container works. Hard-liner (Arctic Zone): contents flat and protected, rinses out, a shelf. Plenty of sites say they packed every container on the list for a week. We didn't, and we say so. What we do instead: read the lid, material and care ratings the maker actually publishes and repeat its wording ("leak-proof", "oven safe to 450°F", "top-rack only"), do the container-fit and ice-pack arithmetic from published dimensions and the USDA's numbers, and score every pick on a public rubric for its category that weights the seal, the material and the fit first. Every figure links to where it came from; where the maker's page would not load we cite a retailer and say so.
