What a system actually is

Four decisions made once, so the week runs without deciding again:

1. The cook window. The ninety minutes or three hours that exist in your week, and what fits in them. A rice cooker and a sheet pan cook unattended, which is why they lead most of these plans.
2. The menu. One protein, one carb, one vegetable, repeated. Variety comes from sauces and a second protein in week two, not from cooking five different dinners.
3. The kit. Containers that fit the bag; a bag that fits the locker; ice packs sized to the USDA's two-per-bag rule; a scale if the numbers matter; a shaker if a shake is one of the meals.
4. The clock. When each meal gets eaten, and whether it is still safe by then — the USDA's two-hour rule above 40°F is the constraint every shift plan on this site is built around.
