The Amazon Associates statement
As an Amazon Associate, Meal & Macro (Iron Mako Media) earns from qualifying purchases. Meal & Macro is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
How the links work
Buttons and links that say "Check price on Amazon" (or, when a live price is shown, "$X · View on Amazon") route through this site's /go/ resolver to the retailer with our affiliate tag attached. If you buy within the retailer's tracking window, we earn a percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the retailer directly. Every such link is marked rel="sponsored" for search engines and opens in a new tab; the "#ad" note under every button, and the disclosure line at the top of every commercial page, say the same thing in words.
Links to manufacturer pages, government pages and other sources in an article's Evidence tables and Sources list are plain reference links. If a source happens to be a listing at a retailer we have an active program with, it carries our tag and is marked sponsored like any other commercial link.

Links to any other retailer or brand store on this site — including these — are plain, untracked links, and we earn nothing from them: Pyrex, Glasslock, Rubbermaid, OXO, Bentgo, BlenderBottle, Etekcity, Zojirushi, FoodSaver, Souper Cubes. If a program with one of them is joined later, this page will be updated and the links will start carrying a tag; nothing about the ranking will change, because rankings are decided by the rubric on the methodology page first.
Prices
Prices are set by the retailer and change often. We don't write them into articles. When a live price is displayed, it comes from the retailer's data feed with the date it was checked, and it is removed automatically once it is more than 48 hours old. No live price is currently displayed anywhere on the site; every button reads "Check price on Amazon". The price you see at the retailer is the one that applies.
What the commission doesn't change
Which products are chosen, how they are ranked, what their cards say. Amazon pays the same rate whichever product in a category you buy, so there is no incentive to prefer one over another, and we'd say so if there were. Sponsored placements: 0. Free products accepted: 0. The rules are on the editorial policy.
