The hospital constraints
Size: a hospital locker is often a half-height cube, and a 16-can cooler doesn't go in it. Time: the first break might be at hour five or hour seven, so the bag has to hold cold that long without a fridge. Hygiene: the bag rides on a floor, a bench and a med-room counter, so a wipe-clean shell and liner matter more than anywhere else. Noise and bulk: a hard cooler in a break room is a hard cooler in a break room. And the fridge: units differ on whether staff food may go in it at all, so the plan can't depend on it. Those five constraints decide this list, and they are why the jobsite boxes on the men's list aren't on it.

The Bentgo Deluxe at 10 × 7 × 7 is the one designed to disappear into a locker; the Prep Deluxe stands 11.5 inches tall and needs a full-height locker or the floor of a half one. Measure the locker.
When the fridge is full or forbidden
Hot food on a unit with no microwave, or no time to use one: a vacuum food jar. Thermos prints 14 hours hot and 24 cold on the 24 oz Stainless King, with a pressure-relief stopper and a top-rack dishwasher rating; preheat it with boiling water for five minutes, tip that out, fill with food straight from the stove. Buyer's guide: what goes in the bag
Containers that don't leak in a bag that lies on its side in a locker — the leak-proof list is on best leak-proof containers. A shaker that seals (the locking-cap Strada or a steel bottle) for the shake between patients. Two ice packs, slim if the bag is full — Fit + Fresh's slim set is 4.75 × 0.5 × 5 in. What we do instead: read the lid, material and care ratings the maker actually publishes and repeat its wording ("leak-proof", "oven safe to 450°F", "top-rack only"), do the container-fit and ice-pack arithmetic from published dimensions and the USDA's numbers, and score every pick on a public rubric for its category that weights the seal, the material and the fit first.
