What Trifecta is
A weekly subscription that cooks to a dietary protocol. Where most macro-led services sell you a ratio, Trifecta sells you a rule — no grains, no dairy, nothing animal, under twelve grams of net carbs — and then cooks a week inside it. Meals are described as "Fresh Prepared Meals", "deep chilled using IQF technology", delivered in temperature-controlled packaging to all fifty states.
This page is an explanation of what Trifecta publishes about its own plans, read on 6 November 2026 and linked below: a map of the catalogue, the prices and the terms, so that the decision is made on the brand's own figures rather than somebody's impression of them.
All eight plans and their tiers
Three price tiers, and the thing that moves you between them is not calories or protein — it is how much choosing you want to do, and whether the protocol is plant-based.
| Plan | Published weekly price | Who picks the meals | The rule it cooks to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clean Meal Plan | "$110.99" | Chef Selected Menu | Whole-food, low-fat, high-protein |
| Keto Meal Plan | "$110.99" | Chef Selected Menu | Net carbs held to 12 g or less per meal |
| Paleo Meal Plan | "$110.99" | Chef Selected Menu | No rice, quinoa or beans — lower carb as a consequence |
| Whole30 Friendly | "$110.99" | Chef Selected Menu | Built against the Whole30 exclusions |
| High Protein Vegetarian | "$104.93" | Chef Selected Menu | No meat; protein prioritised |
| High Protein Vegan | "$104.93" | Chef Selected Menu | Nothing animal; protein prioritised |
| Meal Prep | "$119" | Select Each Individual Item | Components — proteins, carbs and vegetables separately |
| Signature Meals | "$119" | Select Each Individual Meal | Finished dishes, chosen one by one |
The two tiers worth understanding are the ends. Meal Prep is the one that most resembles what this site is otherwise about: you buy cooked components — a protein, a starch, a vegetable — and assemble the boxes yourself, which means you control the portion and therefore the macros, at the top price tier. Signature Meals is the same price but arrives as finished dishes you picked. The six protocol plans are cheaper precisely because the kitchen decides.
What it publishes about macros
Trifecta describes every plan as "low calorie, high protein", "averaging 350 to 500 calories and over 20 to 40g of protein per dish". That is a catalogue-wide statement rather than a per-plan one: the plan pages say the per-plan averages are listed on each plan's page, and the pages we read did not carry them. The brand's own answer to how its averages are calculated says macros are worked out from the meal type a dish aligns with — keto-friendly meals at twelve grams of net carbs or less, paleo meals lower in carbohydrate because the protocol excludes rice, quinoa and beans — and points you at each meal's label for the full breakdown.
For a protocol eater that is enough: the rule is the point, and the rule is published. For a macro tracker it is thinner than it looks. Twenty grams of protein and forty grams are different meals, and three of the former is a day a lifter would have to top up. If grams are the reason you are buying, Fuel Meals publishes the per-meal figure and Trifecta does not — which is why the two land where they do on the ranked page.
The figure the plan pages leave out
Trifecta publishes a weekly price and the instruction "Pick how many meals you want each week". It does not publish, on the plan pages, how many meals that weekly price buys. Those two facts together mean the number every shopper actually wants — the cost per meal — cannot be derived from the page that quotes the price.
That is not a trick; the meal count is a choice you make in the order flow, and the figure resolves there. But it is a real difference from a competitor that prints a per-meal band on the public page, and it is the single reason the cost-clarity criterion on our rubric scores Trifecta below Fuel Meals. If you are comparing the two on price, you have to start a Trifecta order to do it.
Delivery, format and stopping it
Shipping is published to all fifty states, with meals "fully prepared every Friday or Saturday at the latest" and delivered in custom refrigerated packaging. Dishes are described as deep chilled using IQF technology rather than frozen solid on arrival, so treat a delivery the way you would treat anything cooked and chilled — the USDA's three-to-four-day window on how long meal prep lasts in the fridge is the one that governs the back half of the box.
Cancelling is published as available at any time. Pausing is different: the brand's how-it-works page says to pause or cancel you contact its customer success team a week in advance of a delivery. That is a week of forward planning rather than a button, and it is the detail most likely to cost somebody a box they did not want.
Who it suits
Anyone eating to a named protocol. Keto, paleo, Whole30, vegan and vegetarian are plans here, cooked to the rule and priced below the choose-it-yourself tiers, and that is a genuinely hard thing to do for yourself every week. It also suits someone who simply does not want to make eight food decisions — the chef-selected default is a feature if choosing is the part you are tired of.
It suits you less if you are counting grams, because the per-meal protein figure is a catalogue-wide range rather than a number on a dish, and less again if you want to price the week against cooking it, because the meal count is not on the page. For the first, read the Fuel Meals page. For the second, the cost arithmetic uses published retail prices so at least one side of the comparison is solid.

The rubric behind the 9.0
Criterion marks are the rubric assessment on its own 0–10 scale. The published score is that weighted result on our 8.4–9.8 recommendation scale — how we score.

- Protein per meal, as published (25%)

Why we recommend it
- Eight plans, including keto, paleo, Whole30, vegan and vegetarian — the protocol crowd is served here, not at Fuel Meals
- Keto-friendly meals held to a published 12 g net carbs or less
- Ships to all 50 states, with the week's cooking finished by Friday or Saturday
- Two plans let you choose each item rather than take the chef's selection
Good to know
- Publishes a weekly plan price but no per-meal price and no meal count, so cost per meal cannot be worked out from the plan page
- "20 to 40g of protein per dish" is a lunch portion at the bottom of that range, not a lifter's
- Per-plan average macros are not published; you are directed to each meal's own label
- Pausing or cancelling goes through the customer success team a week ahead, not a button in your account
Choose a different pick if…
…you need to know the cost per meal before you order — the plan pages publish a weekly price without the meal count that would turn it into one.

How Meal & Macro picks gear
Researched, compared and scored
Every pick starts with the maker's own product page and manual: the lid, material and care ratings in its exact wording ("leak-proof", "oven safe to 450°F", "top-rack only"), the container-fit and ice-pack arithmetic worked out from published dimensions and the USDA's numbers, and a score on a public rubric for the category that weights the seal, the material and the fit first. Models are compared side by side, so each page lands on one clear pick per use case with the reason stated. Every figure links to where it came from; where the maker's page would not load we cite a retailer and say so.
Scores are editorial judgments built from that documented research. Commissions never set a score or decide a pick. The rubrics and their weights are published.
Questions
Frequently asked
How much does Trifecta cost per week?
The published weekly prices are $110.99 for the Clean, Keto, Paleo and Whole30 Friendly plans, $104.93 for High Protein Vegetarian and High Protein Vegan, and $119 for Meal Prep and Signature Meals. The plan pages do not publish how many meals a week those prices buy.
How many meals a week does a Trifecta plan include?
The plan pages do not say. They publish the weekly price alongside the instruction "Pick how many meals you want each week", so the meal count — and therefore the cost per meal — resolves inside the order flow rather than on the page quoting the price.
Does Trifecta have a keto or vegan plan?
Yes. Trifecta publishes a Keto Meal Plan, with keto-friendly meals held to twelve grams of net carbs or less per meal, and a High Protein Vegan Meal Plan, alongside Paleo, Whole30 Friendly and High Protein Vegetarian.
Can you choose your own Trifecta meals?
On two of the eight plans. The six protocol plans are published as a "Chef Selected Menu"; Meal Prep is "Select Each Individual Item" and Signature Meals is "Select Each Individual Meal", both at the top price tier.
How do you pause or cancel Trifecta?
The brand publishes that you can cancel your subscription services at any time, and that to pause or cancel you reach out to its customer success team a week in advance of your delivery — so it is a week's notice through support rather than a self-serve button.
