What Fuel Meals is
A subscription that ships cooked meals in sealed trays to your door, built for people whose food decisions are made in grams rather than recipes. The company describes the meals as "Fresh, not frozen", vacuum sealed and shipped in custom insulated coolers, ready in three minutes. What separates it from most of the category, and what earns it the top slot on our macro-friendly delivery page, is how much of the detail sits on the public page rather than behind a sign-up funnel.
This is a review of what Fuel Meals publishes — the plans, the figures, the terms — read on 6 November 2026 and linked below: the plan macro splits, the per-meal price band, the protein figure beside each dish and the skip and cancel terms. Everything that follows can be checked against the company's own wording by clicking it.
The four plans
Every plan is published as a macro split rather than a diet label, which is the single most useful thing about the way this catalogue is organised: you can pick the plan by matching it to the ratio you already train on.
| Plan | Protein | Fat | Carbs | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best Sellers | 40% | 30% | 30% | The default: the menu's most-ordered dishes, balanced |
| Performance | 35% | 25% | 40% | The carb-forward one, for training volume |
| Weight Loss | 50% | 25% | 25% | The highest protein share of the four |
| Muscle Gain | 35% | 20% | 45% | The most carbohydrate, for a surplus |
Note that the splits are percentages of calories, not portion sizes, and the company's own plan chooser describes its Performance box at "48+ grams of protein per serving" on a 50 / 20 / 30 split — which is a different figure from the 35 / 25 / 40 published on its meal-delivery page for the same plan name. Where two of a brand's own pages disagree, this site cites both rather than picking the flattering one, and both are linked in the sources below. Read the plan you are about to buy on the checkout page, not on a marketing panel.
Pricing, as published
Fuel Meals prints a per-meal band of ten to thirteen dollars on its meal-delivery page, set against the thirteen-to-eighteen-plus it attributes to "other services". Shipping is free from ten meals up, and the company states that the per-meal price falls as the order grows. That is more than most of the category publishes before a sign-up, and it is enough to work out roughly where a week lands before you hand over an email address.
What it is not is a final number. The band is a band, the size discount is described rather than tabulated, and a first-order promotion was running on the site the day we read it. This site does not quote promotional pricing anywhere, because a discount that expires makes a page wrong rather than cheap — the figure in the button below is the published list band with the day it was read, and the checkout is where the real total lives.
The macros on the menu
This is the part worth paying for. Every item on the rotating menu carries its calories and its protein, carbohydrate and fat beside it, so the box is costed in macros before it is costed in money. On the menu we read, Grilled Chicken Pesto was listed at 56 g protein, 32 g carbs, 21 g fat and 550 calories; Chicken Fried Rice at 47 / 49 / 7 and 460; Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese at 64 / 68 / 23 and 750. The company's headline claim for the range is "Up to 60g protein per meal", with a comparison table stating 40–60 g against 20–30 g for unnamed competitors.
For a tracker, that means a delivered week logs exactly like a cooked one: you enter the published figure and move on. It is still a published figure rather than a weighed one, and the honest way to treat it is the way you would treat a packet label — accurate enough to plan on, not a reason to stop owning a scale for the days you cook.
Delivery, format and stopping it
Nationwide delivery, with fresh meals arriving Monday to Tuesday. The trays are vacuum sealed and ship in insulated coolers that the company says extend shelf life; reheating is quoted at three minutes. Changes to an upcoming box are due by 11:59 pm EST — 8:59 pm PST — on Friday, and the subscription terms are published as "Cancel or skip anytime. No commitments." with "No hidden fees".
Treat the delivery day as the start of a clock, not the end of one. Chilled cooked food is cooked food: the USDA's three-to-four-day refrigerator window applies to a delivered tray exactly as it does to a box you packed, which is covered in full on how long meal prep lasts in the fridge. A Monday delivery of seven meals means some of them are a freezer job by Thursday, and how to reheat meal prep covers getting them back without a dry edge.
Who it suits
The reader this site is written for: someone who trains, logs their food, and has hit a week where the Sunday hour is gone. The published macros make the logging honest, the published price band makes the decision checkable, the self-serve skip makes it a tool rather than a trap, and 40–60 g of protein a meal is a lifter's portion rather than a lunch portion.
It suits you less if you need a protocol. There is no keto, paleo, Whole30, vegan or vegetarian plan here — those live at Trifecta, which runs eight plans and prices by the week. And it suits nobody as a permanent replacement for cooking: at three to four times the ingredient cost, which is worked through on meal delivery vs meal prep cost, this is a purchase of time, and time is cheaper to buy in the weeks you actually need it.

Criterion marks are the rubric assessment on its own 0–10 scale. The published score is that weighted result on our 8.4–9.8 recommendation scale — how we score.

Why we recommend it
- Publishes a per-meal price range on the page, before any funnel
- Calories and the full macro split printed beside every meal on the menu
- 40-60 g of protein a meal as published, which is a lifter's portion rather than a lunch portion
- Skip and cancel are self-serve, with a stated Friday cut-off
Good to know
- Four macro splits, not dietary protocols — no keto, paleo, Whole30, vegan or vegetarian plan
- The exact per-meal price only settles once you pick a box size, because it falls as the order grows
- Free shipping starts at 10 meals, so a small box carries a shipping cost
Choose a different pick if…
…you need a named dietary protocol rather than a macro split — keto, paleo, Whole30, vegan or vegetarian are not plans here.

How Meal & Macro picks gear
Researched, compared and scored
Every pick starts with the maker's own product page and manual: the lid, material and care ratings in its exact wording ("leak-proof", "oven safe to 450°F", "top-rack only"), the container-fit and ice-pack arithmetic worked out from published dimensions and the USDA's numbers, and a score on a public rubric for the category that weights the seal, the material and the fit first. Models are compared side by side, so each page lands on one clear pick per use case with the reason stated. Every figure links to where it came from; where the maker's page would not load we cite a retailer and say so.
Scores are editorial judgments built from that documented research. Commissions never set a score or decide a pick. The rubrics and their weights are published.
Questions
Frequently asked
How much does Fuel Meals cost per meal?
The company publishes a band of ten to thirteen dollars a meal on its meal-delivery page, and states that the per-meal price falls as the order size rises. Shipping is free from ten meals up. The exact figure for your box settles at the checkout; the button on this page goes to the brand's own page so you can read today's.
How much protein is in a Fuel Meals meal?
Fuel Meals publishes "Up to 60g protein per meal" and a stated band of 40–60 g, with the exact figure printed beside every dish on its rotating menu — for example 56 g for Grilled Chicken Pesto and 47 g for Chicken Fried Rice on the menu we read.
Are Fuel Meals frozen?
The company says "Fresh, not frozen". Meals are vacuum sealed and shipped in custom insulated coolers, arriving Monday to Tuesday, and are described as ready in three minutes.
Can you choose your own meals?
Yes. The menu is published as "45+ Rotating meals" and you build the box yourself; the plan you pick sets the macro split the kitchen aims at rather than choosing the dishes for you.
How do you skip or cancel?
The published terms are "Cancel or skip anytime. No commitments." Changes to an upcoming box are due by 11:59 pm EST (8:59 pm PST) on Friday, so put the Friday in your calendar rather than relying on remembering.
