Which hours you have
Crock-Pot's 7-quart Cook & Carry prints a countdown from 30 minutes to 20 hours that shifts to warm when time is up. That is a 6 a.m. load and a 6 p.m. dinner, with two hours of traffic absorbed by the warm setting. Instant Pot prints pressure cooking "up to 70% faster than traditional slow cooking" and a keep-warm of up to 10 hours; it also prints a slow-cook function, so it can do the Crock-Pot's job, but its strength is turning a two-hour braise into a forty-minute one at a time you're standing there. If the only time you cook is Sunday, that's the Instant Pot. If the only time you cook is before you leave, that's the slow cooker. The plans by schedule are in the systems hub.
Capacity, searing, lid, cleanup
Capacity. 7 quarts (Crock-Pot: "9+ people") against 6 (Instant Pot: "up to 6 servings"), and a pressure cooker can't be filled to the rim the way a slow cooker can. For a two-week freezer batch, the slow cooker.
Searing. The Instant Pot sautés in the pot; the slow cooker can't brown anything. One less pan on Sunday, and browned chili is better chili.
The lid. Crock-Pot's locks — "travel-proof locking lid that seals tightly to prevent leaks and spills" — so the pot goes to a potluck. The Instant Pot's lid seals for pressure and has a lot of parts to dry.
Cleanup. Crock-Pot: stoneware and glass lid dishwasher safe, stoneware oven-safe to 400°F. Instant Pot: 18/8 stainless pot and lid dishwasher safe. Stainless outlasts stoneware and can't chip.
Warranty. Instant Pot prints one year. Crock-Pot's wasn't in the wording we could read.

Can an Instant Pot replace a slow cooker?
It has a slow-cook function and a 10-hour keep-warm, so yes for the cooking. It can't be filled as full, and its lid doesn't lock for travel.
Which is better for chili?
Both make it. The slow cooker makes more of it unattended; the Instant Pot makes it in an hour and browns the meat in the same pot first.
Which is easier to clean?
Both put the pot and lid in the dishwasher. The Instant Pot's stainless pot can't chip; its lid has more parts.
